When we bravely journeyed into publishing more of our research publicly and introduced the Diligence Stack in January, we didn’t know what to expect. The feedback among tech industry clients and investor clients has been so overwhelmingly positive that we decided to take our research and publishing strategy to the next level.
A new way to explore, question, and use Creative Strategies research
Today, we are pleased to show you what we have been working on the past months. We are opening CS Atlas to current subscribers as a soft launch available to all subscribers with an active subscription.
Atlas is a research environment built around the full body of research Creative Strategies produces which extends deeper and wider than just what is published on this Substack. Using our custom agent, subscribers can ask Atlas a question, receive an answer grounded ONLY in our research and analysis, see the Creative Strategies source reports, underlying data, analyst commentary behind it, and move directly into the underlying reports or data models included with their access.
Atlas lets subscribers use our industry-wide research and data archive to compare our analysis of companies, explore our analysis of markets and the technologies underneath them, and test their own market assumptions.
Why Creative Strategies
A research agent inherits the quality of the research behind it. That is where CS Atlas begins.
Creative Strategies has worked inside the technology industry since 1969. That history gives us a long record of how platform shifts develop and which patterns tend to repeat. It provides the foundation for how we map markets and evaluate the companies positioned within them. Our analysts combine that historical perspective and deep industry experience with direct exposure to the decisions shaping the industry today. Having worked through every major technology cycle since our founding, Creative Strategies is now relied on by many of the world’s leading technology companies for independent research and market insight.
Our analysts are in the rooms where companies explain product roadmaps and defend the assumptions behind them. We attend launches and analyst briefings, then spend time with management in smaller sessions. The work continues in a dynamic and fast changing industry. We track markets, companies, and technologies through the cycle and test them against what the companies business as well as do industry wide technical and competitive analysis. Over time, that creates a record of how priorities shift and whether management’s confidence is supported by results and where vendors have or do not have sustained competitive advantage. CS Atlas makes our continued research and analysis searchable and source-linked and always grounded in the most recent research and commentary.
That company-level and deep market tracking becomes more valuable when placed inside our broader view of the industry. Creative Strategies covers the full technology stack, from silicon through technology adoption. We can follow a shift in semiconductor architecture through the devices that use it, into the software economics it reshapes, and out to how customers and enterprises adopt it. Atlas brings those layers into one research path, allowing subscribers to test what management says against the underlying technology and then see whether the economics support real customer adoption. Below is our current full coverage map of research.
What you will find in expanded Content in CS Atlas
Earnings notes: While we don’t rate stocks or make stock picks, our earnings work focuses on what each quarter tells us about the core companies we cover. We assess the results against our models and explain where our conviction has changed or held steady, and why.
Timely news analysis: When an announcement changes the market, our analysis places it inside the company’s strategy and explains how it shapes market opportunity.
Key event takeaways: Our event coverage focuses on the implications that emerge from analyst sessions and product briefings. We use the surrounding context to explain which announcements could alter competitive position.
Commentary from management meetings: When company leadership adds context that we can publish, those observations become part of the research record available through Atlas.
The Creative Strategies research archive: Our analysts create a wide body of research that feeds our internal knowledge base. Subscribers can ask questions across our accumulated company and market work rather than searching through each report individually. Where maintained models are included with a subscription, Atlas can connect its answer back to those assumptions and outputs.
Every answer is designed to show its sources which is exclusively Creative Strategies research. Subscribers can see where the conclusion came from, open the supporting published work, and keep diving deeper with our research.
We also know from decades of end user product research that the most delightful products and services are those that get better over time. We have many ideas, new product and content features and more that we know will deliver on a product experience that keeps getting better on all fronts.
How to start
All subscribers with a currently active subscription can log in to CS Atlas here using the email tied to their active subscription and start querying our research knowledge base, and reading our expanded published content around earnings, research notes, and more. We are launching this ahead of very busy events season for our crew of industry analysts so subscribers can get the full depth of our fall technology industry event coverage as well.
A note about going forward. All current active subscribers will be grandfathered in to this tier of access to CS Atlas and will never see a price increase (as long as their subscription stays active) for what we call our Landmark research tier. With our expanded content coverage, and a more comprehensive research product, once we move out of soft launch we will be raising the price to $500 a month or $5,000 a year. For our technology vendor clients and institutional clients we offer a Meridian tier with expanded access to core data and model dashboards and a Horizon tier with full access to core models currently maintained and all new ones released. Feel free to reach out if interested to talk about our more expansive research tiers and multi-seat institutional pricing.
We genuinely hope you find value in the continued research and analysis we provide on the technology industry as a whole and we look forward to continuing to make CS Atlas even better going forward.
We appreciate your time and interest to engage with us our research.
